29 09 DEC 2011 Thailand Food and Agricultural Import Regulations and Standards - Narrative TH1153: Food safety is under the purview of the Ministry of Public Health through the Food Act of B.E. 2522 (1979). The Food Act gives MOPH’s FDA the authority to license, inspect, recall and establish safety and quality standards for food products. Thailand usually follows Codex standards for food additives and Codex MRLs for pesticides and veterinary drugs. Click here
