India's import of pulses may decline to 40-45 lakh tonnes this fiscal from 47.38 lakh tonnes in the previous year, as a good monsoon is likely to result in higher domestic production and lower retail prices, industry body IPGA Chairman Bimal Kothari said on Friday.

12 Aug, 2024 News Image Exports from MP increase 5% in Q1 of current fiscal.
Exports from Madhya Pradesh in the first quarter of current fiscal surged 5 per cent to Rs 16,155 crore year-on-year, with the highest exports from Indore during the period, primarily driven by pharmaceutical and engineering goods, as per official data.
The top exported items from MP in Q1 included drug formulations, biologicals, oil meals, cotton fabrics, made-ups, and basmati rice.
