UK trade secretary, investment minister firm up 17 new export, investment deals during India visit.
The UK on Wednesday said its Trade Secretary Jonathan Reynolds and Investment Minister Poppy Gustafsson announced 17 new export and investment deals during their visits to India this week. It also said that New Delhi's recent Union budget drives more opportunity for British insurance companies to expand their presence in India.

Indian, American spice trade bodies sign MoU to enhance collaboration.
The All India Spices Exporters Forum (AISEF) and the American Spice Trade Association (ASTA) have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) at the International Spice Conference (ISC) 2025 to enhance collaboration in the global spice trade. The MoU, signed by Emmanuel Nambusseril, AISEF Chairman and Peter Sayia, ASTA President, aims to improve food safety, regulatory compliance, and industry best practices.

India and Latin America tighten ties to diversify trade.
Earlier this month, Brazil's state-controlled oil giant Petrobras couldn't have found a bigger event to unveil a major new customer. At the Brazil Energy Forum in Rio de Janeiro, the company's director of logistics, commercialization and markets, Claudio Romeo Schlosser, said an agreement had been reached with India's Bharat Petroleum Corporation for the delivery of 6 million barrels of oil annually between 2025 and 2026.

Australia to invest $16m to boost trade ties with India.
Australia on Wednesday unveiled an ambitious roadmap to expand and diversify its trade and investment ties with India with a focus among other issues on defence industries, sports, culture, space and technology. India, UK trade agreement 'genuinely beneficial' for both: British Trade Secretary Reynolds.
The proposed free trade agreement (FTA) between India and the United Kingdom is 'genuinely beneficial' to both countries as it would help boost bilateral trade and investments, UK Secretary of State for Business and Trade Jonathan Reynolds said on Tuesday. India and the UK on Monday announced resumption of negotiations for the FTA, which is expected to double or even triple bilateral trade from the current USD 20 billion in the next 10 years.
