The workshop featured over 10 stalls showcasing Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs), women agripreneurs, government departments, and exporters from across the state. A variety of geographical indication (GI) tagged and specialty products were exhibited, including Koraput Kalajeera Rice, Nayagarh Kanteimundi Brinjal, Ganjam Kewda Flower Products, Koraput Coffee, Kandhamal Haldi Powder, Kendrapara Rasabali, Salepur Rasagolla, Khajuri Gud, Dhenkanal Magaji Ladoo, and Mayurbhanj Kai Chutney.

Rwanda’s annual rice imports surged from 417,862 tonnes in 2023, to 508,852 tonnes in 2024 – implying a 21 per cent rise – according to the Ministry of Trade and Industry. This rise pushed the import bill from $238.9 million to $317.2 million, marking a 32 per cent jump. The national demand went up from 504,649 tonnes in 2023 to 596,938 tonnes in 2024.

Gadchiroli is promoting the ‘Collector mango' as the district's own brand of mangoes. The agriculture department in the Maoist-affected Gadchiroli is planning to secure a Geographical Indication (GI) tag for a variety of mango grown in Sironcha, a remote tehsil of the district. It's called the Collector mango. The story goes that the fruit was introduced to farmers in Gadchiroli by a British-time collector, named Glassford, giving it the name. During the Raj, Gadchiroli was part of the Upper Godavari district, which covered parts of present-day Telangana as well.
